Arbitrators Won't Decide Federal Employment Suits

Bowing to a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision as well as pressure from the plaintiffs' bar, the nation's largest for-profit alternative dispute resolution provider no longer arbitrates Title VII employment claims arising in the nation's largest circuit. Still unclear, however, is whether Irvine-based JAMS/Endispute will also refrain from hearing related state claims.
