Judge Censured For Lying About Childhood Event

SAN FRANCISCO - In its first public reprimand, the Judicial Council of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals openly censured U.S. District Judge James Ware Tuesday for lying in speeches by saying he was the brother of a youngster gunned down in a racist shooting in Birmingham in 1963.
