Jury awards $58 million in El Cajon mobile home park case

A San Diego County Superior Court jury awarded more than $58 million to 10 households in the Terrace View Mobile Home Estates in El Cajon.

A San Diego County Superior Court jury awarded more than $58 million to 10 households in the Terrace View Mobile Home Estates in El Cajon.

In Miguel Aranda, et al. v. Terrace View Partners, L.P., the jury found park owners at fault for everything from high rents to terrible conditions.

The defendants, Tom Tatum and Jeff Kaplan, are expected to appeal the verdict.
