Sequenom to be acquired by LabCorp for $301M

"Sequenom's market-leading NIPT (non-invasive pre-natal testing) and genetic testing capabilities will advance LabCorp's strategy to deliver world-class diagnostic solutions," Laboratory Corp. chairman and CEO David P. King said.

Burlington, N.C.-based Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings will acquire Sequenom for $302 million, the companies announced Wednesday.

The total enterprise value is $371 million, including net indebtedness, and the cash tender offer works out to $2.40 per share.
