The state Supreme Court Thursday granted its third death row reprieve in two months to a man convicted of killing a woman by putting her in the trunk of a car and setting it on fire.
Gary Galen Brents was convicted of first-degree murder with the special circumstance of kidnapping in the 1995 death of Kelly Gordon over $100 from a methamphetamine sale.
