Venture capital investment in clean tech companies was $4.9 billion last year, signifying a drop from 2010 of 4.5 percent, and no growth in the number of deals, according to an analysis by Ernst and Young LLP.
The fourth quarter represented $940.5 million in new clean tech investment.
