Long Beach again delays pot ban vote

The Long Beach City Council for a second time has delayed a vote on whether to ban medical marijuana dispensaries. Council members will revisit the matter on Feb. 14.

The Long Beach City Council for a second time has delayed a vote on whether to ban medical marijuana dispensaries. With Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal absent, the council voted 5-3 Tuesday to revisit the matter on Feb. 14. Councilmembers Patrick O'Donnell, Gerrie Schipske and James Johnson voted against the delay.
