High Court grants another 9th Circuit habeas case

The high court broke with its customary schedule for the second consecutive Friday and granted new cases, although it hasn't determined if they will be heard this term or next.


WASHINGTON - The high court broke with its customary schedule for the second consecutive Friday and granted new cases, although it hasn't determined if they will be heard this term or next.


There appears to be room for the cases during its last argument session, but the standard briefing timeline suggests the cases, which have not yet been expedited, would have to be put on an accelerated schedule to make it.
