Judge tosses Overstock.com's market manipulation suit

A San Francisco judge has thrown out Overstock.com's lawsuit accusing financial companies of a market manipulation scheme that drove down the price of the company's stock.

Nearly five years after it was filed, a San Francisco judge has thrown out Overstock.com's suit against financial giants Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. and Goldman, Sachs & Co. accusing them of a market manipulation scheme that drove down the price of the company's stock.
