Butte County presiding judge to retire

Steven J. Howell, a 24-year veteran of Butte County Superior and Municipal courts, announced his retirement, effective Feb. 29. He said he will continue to sit on assignment as needed.

Judge Steven J. Howell has announced his retirement from Butte County Superior Court, effective Feb. 29, after 24 years of service.
