Five consolidated lawsuits filed by advertisers against Google Inc. over its AdWords program suffered a major setback Thursday when a federal judge denied them class certification.
The suits claim Google engaged in deceptive business practices by charging AdWords customers for clicks on their advertisements that Google placed on parked domains or error pages between 2004 and 2008.
