Alleged Tryst Roils Carona Corruption Case
An attorney for a defendant in the corruption case of former Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona asked a judge Thursday to remove the two prosecutors because their star witnesses had claimed that the sheriff slept with the prosecutor's former boss, giving the "appearance of impropriety" to the government's effort.
