Court Denies Protection to Lawyer's Letter

LOS ANGELES - A lawyer accused of attempting to extort money from "Riverdance" star Michael Flatley cannot argue that his pretrial demands for money were shielded by free-speech protections or litigation privileges, a state appellate court ruled Thursday.
