Jury Orders Ephedra Retailer to Pay $4 Million to Stroke Victim

LOS ANGELES - In the first verdict of its kind, a Los Angeles Superior Court jury has ordered a Culver City dietary retailer to pay $4.1 million to a man who claimed that an ephedra-based energy supplement he bought at the business caused him to suffer a crippling stroke.
