Placer Judge Clarifies His Telling Jurors to Lie
SAN FRANCISCO - A Placer County judge tried to downplay the significance and impact of his suggestion to potential jurors that they make up excuses to avoid serving if they felt racial bias against a defendant. But the jurist drew little sympathy Wednesday during a hearing before the state judicial watchdog agency.
