Calpine Gets $106 Million To Help Build Power Plant
Calpine Corp. has obtained $106 million to help finance the construction of a power plant near Denver, Colo. Credit Lyonnaise is the lead lender for the project, which is scheduled to be completed by May. The "peaking facility" is intended for use on extremely hot and cold days when electricity usage soars. Such facilities can be brought online quickly in these extreme conditions.
