New assistant presiding judges picked in SF, Santa Clara counties

Teri L. Jackson will be the next assistant presiding judge of San Francisco County Superior Court, making her the first black woman to assume the role. Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Patricia Lucas was selected in her court.

SAN FRANCISCO - Teri L. Jackson will be the next assistant presiding judge of San Francisco County Superior Court, the first black woman to assume that role.


Jackson, who ran unopposed for the seat, said Wednesday that she was "honored" to take the title, adding that her race was not a factor for seeking out this leadership position.
