A seven-year drug patent fight has resulted in a $100 million settlement for North Carolina-based Salix Pharmaceuticals Inc. and the curators of the University of Missouri, after the litigants announced a settlement Monday with New Jersey-based Par Pharmaceutical Companies Inc.
