Santa Barbara County juvenile court closure protested

Youth advocates are protesting the pending closure of Santa Barbara County Superior Court's Hollister Avenue juvenile courthouse and a plan to move operations to a jury assembly room in the downtown courthouse.

Youth advocates are protesting the pending closure of Santa Barbara County Superior Court's Hollister Avenue juvenile courthouse and a plan to move operations to a jury assembly room in a downtown courthouse.


They argue the action violates the rights of the children who will have to be transported, and held in a courtroom, in shackles.
