Bomb threat briefly disrupts LA federal court

A bomb threat temporarily halted work Tuesday afternoon at the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles.

A bomb threat temporarily halted work Tuesday afternoon at the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles.

Authorities received a verbal bomb threat shortly before 2 p.m., according to Officer Karen Rayner, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson. A bomb squad conducted a sweep of the building but did not locate a device, she said.
