Judge Certifies Wal-Mart Class Action
SAN FRANCISCO - A San Francisco federal judge Thursday certified the largest private civil rights class action in U.S. history, authorizing as many as 1.6 million current and former female employees of Wal-Mart Stores to seek potentially crippling punitive damages.
