Children's Rights Should Come Before Those of Their Parents

Forum Column - By Fred Silberberg - Parents comes in all shapes and sizes. There are those who are dedicated to the welfare of their children and those who are not. Some are stay-at-home mothers or fathers, others work and make appropriate child-care arrangements, others leave children without proper care. Some parents are criminals, drug addicts, child molesters, child abusers and wife batterers. Some support their children; others leave that responsibility to someone else or to the state.
