A bill to strengthen requirements for arbitration companies to report data about the cases they handle, including outcomes, passed the state Legislature and headed to Gov. Jerry Brown's desk earlier this week. The legislation, AB 802 by Assemblyman Bob Wieckowski, D-Fremont, received support from trial lawyers and requires that case information to be posted online and easily searchable.
