High Court Agrees to Review Dismissal of Tobacco-Related Wrongful Death Case

The California Supreme Court Wednesday voted 7-0 to review an appeals courts' dismissal of a wrongful death claim by Judy Boeken, the widow of a man whose earlier lawsuit against Philip Morris USA Inc. over his terminal lung cancer netted the couple $82 million in actual and punitive damages and interest.
