Alameda County Cleared in Discrimination Suit
Web Exclusive - The Alameda County district attorney's office and District Attorney Tom Orloff were cleared Tuesday of gender discrimination charges filed by veteran homicide prosecutor Angela Backers in January 2007. Alameda County Superior Court Judge Patrick Zika granted summary judgment to the defense, represented by Keker & Van Nest attorneys Susan J. Harriman, Steve Taylor and Dan Jackson.
