Article Shouldn't Call Man With Paranoid Schizophrenia 'Nut'
Letters to the Editor - Your article calling a man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia a "nut" is not only offensive but also betrays alarming ignorance ("Panel Sends Molester Case Back to Judge," in the San Francisco edition, "Public Defender's Crime Calls Into Question His Competency," in the Los Angeles edition Feb. 2 Daily Journal). Schizophrenia is a severe and disabling mental illness. It is likely genetic and has no cure.
