Day Laborers Group Wins Injunction Against Glendale

A group of Glendale day laborers say they won't be fooled by the city's attempt to keep them from littering the streets. The Day Laborer Committee of Glendale, an association of 30 day laborers who seek work in the city, won a preliminary injunction in U.S. District Court Jan. 14, to halt the city's "anti-solicitation" ordinance. Comite de Jornaleros de Glendale v. City of Glendale, CV04-3521 (C.D. Cal. preliminary injunction, Jan. 14, 2005).
