Judge Sanctions County $54,000 for 'Ineptitude' in Turning Over Evidence

LOS ANGELES - In a scathing ruling, a judge sanctioned Los Angeles County $54,000 on Monday for "ineptitude" in failing to turn over evidence about jail inmates whom Sheriff Lee Baca is accused of holding past their release dates.
