Letter to the Editor - Your article " Prosecutors' Broad Immunity Shield Protects Former DA" (Jan. 18, Daily Journal) "Hallinan Held the Cards in Former Chief's Suit" (Jan. 18, Daily Journal) summarizes the opinion in Milstein v. Cooley , 257 F.3d 1004 (2001), as follows: "There, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled prosecutors who fabricated evidence for a grand jury were entitled to absolute immunity."
