Ruling Guts Malpractice Case Against Burris

SAN FRANCISCO - A San Francisco judge on Thursday effectively wiped out a lawsuit against Oakland civil rights lawyer John Burris and another attorney who worked in his office, saying that emotional distress damages are not available in attorney malpractice cases.
