Conspiracy Case Snares Chemical Giants

SAN FRANCISCO - A joint venture of two of the nation's largest chemical companies will plead guilty and pay an $84 million criminal fine for engaging in an international conspiracy to fix the price of a widely used synthetic rubber, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.
