        Gov. Gray Davis has fulfilled a major campaign promise by signing AB 60, which will reimpose daily overtime pay requirements on the majority of California employers. The new law, known as the "Eight-Hour-Day Restoration and Workplace Flexibility Act of 1999," will become effective on Jan. 1, 2000.
