The case against Trump's immigration order
The president's executive order which threatens sanctuary jurisdictions with the loss of federal funds unconstitutionally deprives states and cities of federal funds allocated by statute, and no executive order could affect that entitlement. By Steve Mayer
Three weeks ago, President Donald J. Trump signed two executive orders relating to immigration. One, which temporarily bars immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, has gotten the most attention.
