With governor's signature, undocumented immigrant poised to become a lawyer

After years of legal briefing and input from groups around the country, it appears a state law will provide the pathway to legal practice for Sergio Garcia.

The state Supreme Court has collected legal briefing for years from dozens of civil rights groups, the U.S. attorney general and others in the matter of whether undocumented immigrant Sergio Garcia can become a lawyer.
