George Zenovich, former appellate justice and legislator, recalled as 'gentle soul'

Former state senator and appellate court justice George N. Zenovich died last week in a hospice in his hometown of Fresno. He was 91.

Former state legislator and appellate court justice George N. Zenovich died last Wednesday in a hospice in his hometown of Fresno after a fight with cancer. He was 91.


Zenovich was elected to the state Assembly in 1962 and the state Senate in 1970 before his appointment to the 5th District Court of Appeal in 1979 by Gov. Jerry Brown.
