Alameda County crowd honors judges

The Women Lawyers of Alameda County hosted their annual judges' dinner on Wednesday night at the UC Berkeley Faculty Club. The event honored two Alameda County Superior Court judges, Assistant Presiding Judge Winifred Smith and Judge Carol Brosnahan. There was also a panel discussion with a group of women in leadership roles throughout the county. Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O'Malley and Assistant Public Defender Aundrea Brown participated in the panel, as did Judge Tara Desautels and Laura Stein, general counsel and senior vice president of The Clorox Co. — Laura Hautala
