Family law nonprofit lauds judge at record-setting fundraiser

More than 400 guests attended the Stand for Justice Gala, an annual fundraiser for the Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center, a nonprofit that connects families with legal services, including court appearances, in areas such as adoption, child support, custody and visitation, domestic violence and others. The 32nd annual event was the largest in the organization's history and brought in more than $300,000, which will pay for legal representation for hundreds of families, the group said. "This has been our most successful event to date," Executive Director Tai Glenn said in a statement, "and we have our supporters to thank for that." Also recognized at the event were Los Angeles County Superior Court family law Supervising Judge Scott M. Gordon and Toyota Financial Services. Both were honored for their continued efforts to increase access to justice for families unable to afford it. — Ben Adlin
