Passenger in Irwindale bus crash is first to sue

The first lawsuit arising from the Aug. 22 crash of a tour bus carrying senior citizens to the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino has been filed.

The first lawsuit arising from the Aug. 22 crash of a tour bus carrying senior citizens to the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino has been filed. The plaintiff, Lai Ha Lam, is suing the Monterey Park-based tour operator, Da Zhen International Inc., along with Van Hool NV, the Belgian manufacturer of the bus, and its 55-year-old driver, Jinquan Yang, for damages stemming from negligence and an allegedly faulty vehicle.
