Eminent domain settlement may be state's largest this year

An Orange County judge recently signed off on a $15.4 million settlement Lake Forest agreed to pay a landowner in a contentious eminent domain case that a lawyer said could be the biggest amount in such a matter this year in California.


Superior Court Judge Kim Dunning approved the settlement for Alexander Rados, and the amount more than doubles Lake Forest's initial estimate for the property'...
