Why Brown is right to challenge prison order

Gov. Jerry Brown has commendably and justifiably challenged a federal court panel order to release inmates of California prisons. If the order is implemented, 46,000 inmates will be released without completing their properly imposed sentences. Common sense decrees this court ordered number would jeopardize public safety despite panel assurance to the contrary. Coleman v. Schwartzenegger, 2010 WL 99000.
