Dean is Solicitor General Nominee

President-elect Barack Obama's transition team announced Monday that Elena Kagan, dean of Harvard Law School, will be nominated as solicitor general.

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama's transition team announced Monday that Elena Kagan, dean of Harvard Law School, will be nominated as solicitor general.

The incoming administration also named three other senior Justice Department nominees, who would serve under the already announced attorney general-designate, Eric Holder.
