Truce Settles Backdating Row at McAfee

McAfee Inc. and three of its former executives, including one-time general counsel Kent Roberts, have agreed to a truce in a plaintiffs' derivative complaint over the backdating of stock options at the company.

SAN JOSE - McAfee Inc. and three of its former executives, including onetime general counsel Kent Roberts, have agreed to a truce in a plaintiffs' derivative complaint over the backdating of stock options at the company.

Roberts and two other former executives had objected to the settlement of a lawsuit filed against them by plaintiffs' attorneys because McAfee left them out of the deal.
