Settlement Will Pay Farmworkers $1 Million

BAKERSFIELD - Hundreds of laid-off farmworkers will receive a total of $1 million under the settlement of a class action that claimed Dole Food Co. failed to give employees adequate notice before the fruit grower shut down farming operations in Tulare and Kern counties.
