Supervisors Refuse to Cover Up Controversial Roosevelt Quote
RIVERSIDE - A controversial quotation by Theodore Roosevelt in a Riverside courtroom is going to stay put - for now. Further fanning a constitutional-rights fire, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday not to cover up a 70-year-old engraving of Roosevelt's words on a wall of Department 8 of the downtown civil courthouse.
