Lawmakers Must Help Journalists Shield Their Sources

Forum Column - By Patrick Mattimore - Last week, a federal judge ordered New York Times reporter Judith Miller jailed for refusing to name a confidential source in a case in which that source broke the law by disclosing the identity of a covert agent of the Central Intelligence Agency. The judge stayed the imposition of the contempt sentence of Miller, pending her appeal.
