Ruling Puts Disabled Students at Disadvantage
Forum Column - By Areva D. Martin - The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the much anticipated case of Schaffer v. Weast, 126 S.Ct. 528 (Nov. 14, 2005), was issued sooner than most expected. When oral arguments were set for early October, it was believed the court's opinion would be issued during the first part of 2006, and that the public would get a glimpse inside the psyche of the newly appointed chief justice.
