LOS ANGELES - Stung by a $295,000 settlement to a man who claimed he was falsely imprisoned by deputies on a botched drug stakeout, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Monday revealed new procedures that require deputies to better plan and document drug-surveillance operations.
