Japan's Mitsubishi Corp. and Kyushu Electric Power Co. Inc. have closed a $249 million financing for the 495-megawatt Tuxpan II Power Plant in Veracruz, Mexico.
Trading company Mitsubishi owns 70 percent of the $325 million plant, located 260 kilometers northeast of Mexico City. Kyushu owns the other 30 percent through its wholly-owned subsidiary Kyuden International Corp.
