Wilson Sonsini: OREGON MOTOR-HOME RIVALS INK MERGER FOR $36 MILLION
Monaco Coach Corp. has agreed to buy SMC Corp. The cash- and assumption-of-debt deal between the Oregon motor-coach manufacturers is worth $36 million.
Monaco Coach, based in Coburg, Ore., makes upscale motor homes which sell from $60,000 to $1.2 million each. The coaches are marketed under the Monaco and Holiday Rambler brands.
