Scholarship Fund Recognizes Compton Students

LOS ANGELES - The Compton Courts Scholarship Fund has awarded scholarships to 24 high-school graduates and college students. Judges and lawyers who serve the Compton branch of the Los Angeles Superior Court contribute to the annual fund, which Judge Thomas N. Townsend started in 1982. The scholarship program recognizes the academic achievements and community service of local students.
